22 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal I've been reading many of these posts and I think that System of a Down did a good job. I think that the whole point of the song was to get people to talk and ask questions. If people don't ask questions then the system fails, but it is only when people start asking questions that things change (usually for the better). Whether you like the song or not you have to admit that it stirred something up inside of you that made you want to talk about it and talk about the country. Job well done S.O.A.D. P.S. This song is amazing. I saw them live over the summer and when they played this song I thought the stadium was going to collapse because people were going crazy in their seats. It was unbelievable.

And, am i the only one that realizes that screaming like your're being tourtured and not going along with the beat of the song at all doesn't sound good. I mean, the song itself is pretty good but the vocals just kill it.

22 posts	So many ignorant people and so few people willing to argue. First to psht, I am having trouble why you are calling S.O.A.D. hypocrites. Is it because they are asking why presidents don't fight the war, but at the same time no members of system have fought in wars. If that is the reason that you are calling them hypocrites then that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You can't compare the president of the U.S. to system. System was not the ones hell bent on invading Iraq even though any evidence supporting such an invasion was at best made up. You are reading into the song too much. Don't take it so literally. They are saying that if a president is going to invade a country on a hunch then he should be willing to fight in that war alongside the young people that are only there because of the president. They don't actually expect a president to fight in a war, but they are saying that the president should be willing to fight in that war if they weren't the president. Next, just a short statement to halofreak. Dumbass is such a strong and unnecessary word, especially when the person that you are talking about is right. B.Y.O.B. does mean bring your own beer or booze when it is mentioned on an invitation, but in terms of this song it means bring your own bombs. They are comparing the war to a party throughout the whole song, and if you bring beer to a party then you have to bring something to war... Bombs. I guess this part was uncalled for, but psht got me a little upset which is unusual for me. That was it. I guess there aren't many ignorant people.......just the two.
