vocal I love the part where James sings with the backing vocals. It's definitely they're best ballad song. It has a nice classical kind of feel. The appregiations are hard to play on the guitar though. The vocals are definitely my favorite part of the song though. Absolutely great job.

vocal I love this song so much, its unreal. When I was young and uneducated I didn't really like Metallica, I heard this song a few years ago and have loved them ever since. Shame they have gone crap w/ St Anger. dissapointing. But lets not forget the good ole' days..
This is the start of Metallica's downfall the way i see it. it was the first song that was slow the whole way through (besides unforgiven), and the only decent releases metallica has had since then are live shit and S&M

metllca4ever-some would argue that we are not true metallica fans because of that. I liked 'Black', and definately S&M was tops. 'Unforgiven too'- (why the hell they remade it and released it is beyond me) was also slow the whole way through. One was close-but then was saved by the trumendous guitar solo at the end. But I just hate St Anger-most dissapointing.
