My sister and her friends always used to make me sing it to them the high parts just to embarass me... It's still my fav. song to this day. (15) i always wanted to get married to this song. But not a very marriage kind of song. I still do though.

When he talks about the grey, its his life, and i dont about you, but grey is kind of a depressing color, so maybe his life wasn't good at all, and hes talking about how this girl has made his life better, shes the light in his grey life, the kiss of the rose on the grey is the same thing, roses are the symbol of love for most people, and hes saying her love turned his colorless depressing life into a good one.... maybe im wrong but thats just what i think of when i hear this song

"When it snows my eyes become large and the light that shine can be seen" Talking about cocaine and how it helps ease the pain. The beginning he talks about being dark (depressed) then takking the drug brings light into his life. He repeats is it healthy baby. While the kisses from roses represents flowers thrown down into his grave hitting his coffin. Saying the all time message that the drug (in the end) does nothing but bring hiom back down and eventually leads him to his own death. Very touching. You can't help but appreciate this especially with all that Seal has been through. 10 out of 10

A couple weeks ago, me and my boyfriend were driving in his car and this song came on one of the stations....I guess as a throw back track or whatever. We had a fight yesterday, and he left me a note with the chorus of this song. Little did I know...lol, someone told me today that this song is not about Seal describing his love for someone. He is comparing his drug addiction to love. It makes sense if you think about it. "Did you know, when it snows, my eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen" It just makes so much sense. I guess everyone has their own opinion of what the meaning of the song is, but I know Seal did have a bit of a drug problem....so you never know.
