Song lyrics
You've got this new head filled up with smoke.
And I got my veins all tangled close,
To the jukebox bars you frequent.
The safest place to hide.
A long night spent with your most obvious weakness.
You start shaking at the thought.
You are everything I want.
'Cause you are everything I'm not.

And we lay, we lay together just not,
Too close, too close. (How close is close enough?)
We lay, we lay together just not,
Too close, too close.

I just wanna break you down so badly.
Well I trip over everything you say.
I just wanna break you down so badly.
In the worst way.

My inarticulate store bought hangover hobby kit.
It talks (Ta-a-alks), it says, "You, oh, you are so cool."
Scissor shaped across the bed, you are red, violent red.
You hollow out my hungry eyes.
You hollow out my hungry eyes.

And we lay, we lay together just not,
Too close, too close. (How close is close enough?)
We lay, we lay together just not,
Too close, too close.

I just wanna break you down so badly.
Well I trip over everything you say.
Well I just wanna break you down so badly.
In the worst way.

I just wanna break you down so badly.
Well I trip over everything you say.
I just wanna break you down so badly.
In the worst way. (Worst way.)

I'm gonna make damn sure that you can't ever leave.
No, you won't ever get too far from me.
You won't ever get too far from me.
I'll make damn sure that you can't ever leave.
No, you won't ever get too far from me.
You won't ever get too far from me.
You won't ever get too far from me. (Ever get too far...)
You won't ever get too far...

I just wanna break you down so badly.
Well I trip over everything you say.
Well I just wanna break you down so badly.
In the worst way. (Worst way.)

I'm gonna make damn sure.
I just wanna break you down so badly.
I just wanna break you down so badly. (Damn sure.)
In the worst way. (Worst way.)

I love IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it just me or do their instrumentals and vocals seem edgier? It's all gravy. i think this song is AWESOME! but its true, now they are actually incorporating the song titles into the actual song, its unusual for the band who titled a song "I am Fred Astaire" but the song had nothing to do with Fred Astaire. But.........I love IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam seems 10x more good looking than i remember!

okay, i don't know what the hell "gravy" means...but this is a pretty good song, no doubt one of the best off the album, if not THE best. the video isn't too bad either, though i miss the uber-emo look of the main singer. they've all matured a lot.

Someone was asking about the significance of the number 152 on TBSs albums:

"Each of our albums have the number '152' on them, because on Highway 40 in North Carolina, going between Chapel Hill and High Point, the area I'm from, there's exit 152. My friends and I would make the trip from High Point to Chapel Hill to see shows, and we'd always stop at that exit," Lazzarra said. "And we keep it in the artwork to help us remember where we came from and to let everybody at home know that they're all still on our minds."

this song is so good, amazing, adam is beautiful.
but, uhm, ok, to two people who said taking back sunday just now is starting to incorporate their album titles in lyrics, all of taking back sunday's album titles are lyrics in songs

"and will you tell all your friends you've got your gun to my head?" - cute without the 'e'

"so pace the stairs to your apartment like that's where you want to be" - set phasers to stun

"so what's it feel like to be ghost? well, louder now, louder now" - what's it feel like to be a ghost?

i wasn't talking about album titles, i was talking about actual song titles. the song titles on this album are more directly integrated into the actual song.
p.s. "all gravy" means "all good"

so TBS hasn't changed much, but they have a little, and either way it doesn't matter, because what is really annoying is when a band turns mainstream and everything changes. Like, and im sorry to say because i love them but its totally true, Greenday. They were awesome in the beginning and they're great now, but in the beginning they were more unique and punck now they are mainstream. I don't want that to happen to another perfectly good band. and i love the inhaling thing in the beginning, thats my fave part and i also love how they say pother stuff during the main lyrics near the end in like all their songs. vair unique. Kudos.

the first part you don't understand is pretty easy. it's like you want someone because they aren't you. they're unique and different and its what maeks things interesting. also, we all view ouraselves as all simperfect so being everything you're not the other person is pretty much perfect. yeah? and then the secons part is easy(ish) too. when you say you trip you're saying you fall in love, eh? so youre tripping over everything they say...get it?? and oyu wanna break em down so badly cus they hurt you and you'd do anything for them so you want to see them break down. at least thats how i interpret it.

about the whole thing with the number 152 - it has to do about how adam and the rest would meet up with some friends all the time at this one exit on the road - exit 152 - and they said that they always have it on their cds to show the peeps that they wont forget where they came from, and wont forget about the ones who have always been there for them. its pretty cool. you can read more about it on their website.

This is the first song I've heard from these guys. I don't mind it, it will probably grow on me more the more I hear it (which will be a lot because they're thrashing it on the music channels here at the moment).

They sound a lot like MCR (don't hurt me die-hard fans). I don't know which band was around first, but they sound very similar going by this song.

im sorry cairowinters but you may be a complete moron...tbs and mcr sound nothing alike...dont get me wrong i somewhat like mcr but i hate how big they are....but taking back sunday is so much better...mcr is all gothic emo whose lyrics talk about death and taking back sunday's lyrics mostly talk about relationships plus they are to good to even be classified under some category because it wouldnt fit theyre changing styles (thier old and best stuff is prob. emo tho) and if this is the first song u heard by them then we mite have to start worrying about them getting to big...i also understnd this is TOTALLY opinated

why would you hate that a band is getting big? if their hitting it big it usually means their good and their success means they'll stay on the map and keep making music. i think its cool when more great underground bands are getting noticed. it takes the focus off music obsessed with bling, sex, and other shallow subjects. saying you don't want the success of a band you like, thinking they will supposedly change, is selfish. sorry for the tangeant but that bugs me.
go TBS!
