As far as bands better than mcr, that's a ridiculous question and one you should be embarassed of asking. I can't think of any band worse, if you want to see a list of actual good bands check my music list, but before you judge you must know that most of the greatest bands are ones that arn't even listed on here because in today's music scene it's mostly shit like MCR.

| I think that this song is FANTASTIC. my only disapointment is that they are losing their gruge look. I mean Mikey may look cuter now that you can see his face without his glasses, but they are grunge and it worked out for them.

I'm just sending a message out there for people who actually have the brains to listen, clearly something most of you are incapable of since you have misinterpreted most of what I've said. That's nice that you're willing to stand up for a band you like, but this website is all about music discussion and just because you're not agreeing with my opinion means that I'm saying something wrong or "talking shit"
And just because I like The Cure doesn't mean I automatically like My Chemical Romance because there's a slight different between the two bands: The Cure are actually good at what they do and write likable songs. I'm not surprised MCR says their one of their influences, it's obvious they're trying so hard to sound like an 80's pop-rock-goth band, but it's a sad atempt. And associating myself with My Chemical Romance? Are you shitting me? How would that make any sense as to anything I've been saying this entire discussion?

I love this song, its my fav from The Black Parade, and is around my 4th or so fav MCR song.
Which is why I just have to mention that the lyrics here are wrong. I sent in a correction, but it hasnt shown up or anything. The line "All their souls are burning is wrong" and "These bright lights are glowing bright at me" is also wrong. There are some other small mistakes.
Seriously, you can tell these are wrong just by listening to the song, and even if you couldnt, all you had to do was look in the lyric booklet that came with the CD.

First of all, you're 18 right? If you're honest with your age in your profile, let me laugh at your childishness. Once is enough, no need to repeat again and again and again about how bad you think MRC sucks, it just makes your point weaker. Secondly, you like No Doubt? No Doubt, haha!!! Sorry no offence to all the ND fans. Claire, I think you will allow me to laugh at the band you like but which I think sucks right?
Well, the fact is all of us have the right and freedom to say what we think of the artists, but most of us are not eligible for critisizing them (you know what I mean). Try to compose a song better than theirs, then we won't try to fire back!
Yeah, as a My Chem fan, I'm glad to hear their new stuffs, but I have my standard, I think most of the MRC fans do as well. I won't like all of the music they made, of course some of them suck a lil bit. So can we just be nice to this forum by not being too harsh to the band and also the forumers???

Just want to let you know it doesn't bother me at all that you've criticized my musical tastes. For the record I'm not a huge No Doubt fan but they are a band that I listened to when I was younger and that I still enjoy and I could care less about your opinion.
I could quite easily compose a song better than My Chemical Romance, you couldn't have directed that comment to a better person, I've dedicated years of my life to song writing since I was young and it's my sanity and passion and something that I hope will lead to a career. But I won't go on about it because MCR fans are last people in the world I should be talking to about that.

Come on now. We have a person who's not even bright enough to match the age in his/her profile with what he/she is saying, and people are taking it seriously?
The song is solid. You can hear the influence of other groups, but the lyrics remain decidedly MCR (like it or not). Regardless of preference, I think they did a great job of capturing the feel of the situation, from the anger to the....well, the release of that anger, leading to acceptance of the situation, whatever the listener may think the result is.
I find it funny, however, that someone would say it's ridiculous to ask for bands better than MCR, only to follow it up with something as absurd as "I can't think of any band worse." Awesome. Black Parade is TOTALLY good, but totally overrated, this is way better. I'll say the lyrics are a little confusing, he doubles back on 'if you stay I'll be forgiven' and 'nothing you can say can stop me going' which really makes no sense but its ROCK it doesnt need to make sense rite?
