6 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal since the first time i have listened to metallica's songs, i have known that they will be the gods of metal because their songs are the only ones that really make me change my moods towards the songs as if im living in their lyrics... plus they all rock at the same time, so even if this was a song relating to cocaine, its still beyond awesome, because all of the stuff that they say in this song is absolutely true and thats pretty much what a person feels when he or she is under the influence of cocaine... In conclusion, there is no such thing as a bad metallica song.

This was the first Metallica song I ever heard, so it's always going to be my favourite, it set me on the road to heavy metal. Does anyone here know how to play it all the way through? I managed to get my hands on Kirk's ESP KH-2, so it sounds that little bit sweeter. I learnt the solo fully recently, but my friend showed me a way to cheat for the first part of Kirk's main solo. Instead of playing the first and second string before he shreds down off the 19th fret, just use two hand tapping on the 8th, 12th and 17th fret for a few bars and you get EXACTLY the same notes. Makes it a HELL of a lot easier.

James says it himself, and comments about how he could write such a powerful song about something he never even experienced, having never used heroin. One of my favorite songs ever. They have the Metallica flair i'm guessing thats because Dave Mustaine (megadeth's guitarist and singer) was metallica's original lead guitarist...personally i think megadeth plays more complex stuff than metallica does though
