It wouldn't have sounded the same, and the musicians they chose are simply marvelous!!! I don't think that she is being a whiny little sister, I think she is saying that it is her time to shine and she is happy to finally have people see her as her, not as Jessica Simpson's little sister, but as Ashlee Simpson - a talented singer/actress.

I think this song exaggerates what she feels and don't think a lot of the emotions she writes about are real. They might be, but multiplied a couple times. She makes her home like seem so detroyed and as if she is so deprieved, but from what i've seen on her show, she isn't as ignored as she claims. her parents are always with her, ALWAYS, and always supporting her. Besides, I know MANY people who have it worse, and htey just cope and move on. About her image, i like it, but it seems rather fake, because obviously, she is just trying to be the oppossite of her older sister ((shrug)) if that's what she wants, then wahtever. All that put aside. i have to admit that this song is good. She puts emotion into the song when she performs it, and I can eally relate to it, so I love the song....just not so much her. But, hey, i hope she proves me wrong i guess...Oh yeah, and the strings are awesome, but on her show, she wasn't even paying attention as they added them. If she's going to have poeple come in to help improve her song, which she claims is so personal, she could at least pretend to pay attention...

I think its really cool how she doesn't want to be like her sister...
