As far as the album title and nickname: "Mimi" is a nickname that was given to her when she was younger, because of people that couldn't pronounce her name; "The Emancipation of Mimi" is basically her being able to be liberated, emancipated from whatever she was burdened with. 1,946 posts | I like the song and all, but it's not a good song for Mariah  . She is more of a soulful/r&b/pop singer. The hip hop is okay but this song is more suited for someone with a different type of voice. But all in all I do like the song, I would just expect someone else to sing it. |
