| Sniff, this song made me cry hysterically when I first heard it. It still does because even though she wrote it for her grandfather, it could be applied to anyone special a person lost. It almost sounds like Avril's about to cry when you hear her sing this song. It's so sad. It gives her album some more emotion. |

This IS a great song...avril is a great writer..each time i listen to this song i wanna cry! YEAH, i admit that it its NOT really punk...but its still great and avril has her own style and who ever wants to say something bad about her can discuss this somewhere ELSE. |

Well first of all, avril earned my respect after i heard the new album. I had never liked her because her music was stupid and i didnt like her image. I guess you could say I hated her. Then now after i hear this KICK ASS SONG I like her and thats a miracle.
Anyways my point is that this song is soo deep and I can't even hear it sometimes because i'll cry. but when i do listen to it i think about how much i love the people i love and i am grateful  that i still have them. man this song touched me........  |

| ok im sorry for posting again but....
omG this song has so deeply touched me! like no other female songs ever have! I've been listening to it several times and i can sorta relate to it.... I'm listening to it right now and can't get to sleep cuz i want to hear it over and over again. i listen to the cd at least 3 times a day  .
and i would also like to say to avril (yes most likely she will never read this but oh well): Avril your song Slipped Away is making me cry right now and don't worry, that's a good thing... I just wanted to let you know that you are cool and never let anyone's words get to you. As a rocker at heart and head take my words: I love your new cd! I listen to it half the time that i listen to music .......... Have a kick ass life and remember me!

omg i luv this song so much. one of my really good guy friends died in a car accident about 1-2 weeks ago and that was the song we had played at his funeral..i only cry when i hear this song & think of the accident at the same time. peace out melisa |
