vocal I can't believe I just recently heard this song for the first time! The second it came on I was in love with it. The music is beautiful and the lyrics are so true. I can really relate to this song. It reminds me of something maybe someone would have said to me a few years back. And I should have said the same to that person!

vocal I've been crazy about this song since i first heard it, way before it became a radio single. I'm glad it did because more people are exposed to it this way. It's one of my favorite songs ever...beautiful melody and bittersweet lyrics that seem perfect for a movie. At first it's super sad hearing about someone regretting a breakup and still being in love...then at the end it's hopeful about reconciling. I'm a sucker for that stuff...this is a song I could listen to a billion times and not tire of it. Love it. Different from any other Nickelback song as well.

i'm not a big fan of secular music (i mostly listen to Christian rock), but i really like the sound of Nickelback. i don't like some of the language they use, lol, but i like the ideas of a lot of their songs. and i have a story for this one.
i went to the homecoming dance at my school Friday (Feb. 2). it was getting close to the end and i was feeling pretty bad, partly i think because of nerves cause of just the idea of going to a dance, and the guy i love (yes- LOVE) being there, and having seen a guy there that used to be my friend that was high (it was the first time i had been really near- or really had even seen- someone who was high- he sat right behind me).
well during one slow song one of my former friends (who is a friend of a friend of the guy i like) sat beside me and talked to me, and i told her i wanted to dance with Bryson. she said she would ask him to.
now i have been friends with Bryson for a little over a year, and at one time he was one of my best friends (i've liked him since before we became good friends and he's known the whole time). but since last school year got out, we kinda fell apart.
well we danced to this song, and i find it very fitting if he's really decided/deciding he's "been far away for far too long". i didn't know the song at the time, but it's become one of my favorites, especially as it's so appropriate. and he was even singing it. it was awesome.
i also see this as a turning point in our relationship because we had a short- but serious yet at the same time laid-back- conversation. i havent seen him since cause it's only Sunday night but we will just have to see how it goes.

vocal am already in love with nickelback as it is so i doubt i can be unbiased about them! having said that, i totally love this song! and the first time i saw the video i cried, actually cried! i think its the best song for lovers who are apart for one reason or another! and of course the rest of the album is just as fabulous!
