In its non-chemical meaning it is a wonderfully rendered, exuberant love song. Reminds me of a poem I read years ago equating bringing electrical power to the Tennessee Valley to how the author felt about his new love, and how he wished to tell everyone about it.

17 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal i've loved this song for a very long time and now that i'm a letssingit member i can share that to the world. ok now that i've done that... i really hope that this song isn't about drugs (even though after reading it i can see why it would be interpreted as that ), but from my naive 16 year old girl point of view i like to pretend its about love and chris martin writing a song for a girl who's favorite color is yellow ... or just yellow meaning happiness, joy... and "your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones... turn in to something beautiful.." so classic. if a guy ever wrote that for me you'd better bet i'd "bleed myself dry" for him... hmm thats a sinister, but beautiful still, part of the song. also after watching vh1 this song will remind me of the guy who peed in his coffee, if anyone ever saw that.
