Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Climbing higher through the fire, time was running out
Never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive
But you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Be strong. Believe.
Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
Never fearing, only hearing voices calling out
Let it all go, the life that you know, just to bring them down alive
And you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
(Again today, we take into our hearts and minds those who
perished on this site one year ago, and also those who came
to toil in the rubble to bring order out of chaos, to help us
make sense of our despair)
Wanna hold my wife when I get home
Wanna tell the kids they'll never know how much I love to see them smile
Wanna make a change right here right now
Wanna live a life like you somehow
Wanna make your sacrifice worthwhile
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
(The world will little note, nor long remember what we say
here, but it can never forget what they did here)

this song is absolutely amazing..i mean i know what its about and yes it does show how much the terrorist attacks did affect us..but it is trying to send a positive light telling you to believe that everything is going to be okay and work itself out.. even though its about a sad topic the song is entirely true and just amazing..
everything is gonna be alright

Almost every song about 9/11 is too... I don't know... they can't find the right balance, the right way to present that day, that event... but this Yellowcard is so concrete... and it's not about the sad side of it but the brave, "we'll stand up" side, and I think it's great...
And (like every Yellowcard song) I really like the violin thing too... it's the most important thing that makes a difference between Yellowcard and other young rockbands... | 03-09-2005 05:54 Bman1388 | 7 posts
| Redundancy...First of all, this little board is called "duscussion" not describe in three poorly spelled words how 'YC freaking rox.' Secondly, if you're going to contribute to the political/emotional aspects of the debate over the last year or two, read ALL the freaking posts before you go ahead with your "enlightened" opinion and start rambling about shit that I and about 40 other people have already written about. And if your going to bash people like Risingstruck (or whatever their name happens to be) do it with a little dignity and refute with a half educated answer, not 'You gay teasipping...' whatever. Christ people, I'd ask for originality but how about a little effort first. Thank You. | 21-09-2005 04:10 jlampjlamp20820 | 1 posts

not trying to turn this into a political terorism argument message board so i will start with this
yellowcard is amazing. this song is great.
now to those of you saying "blah blah 9-11 ive heard enough"....i think you need to think about what your saying. yest there is much more terorism in other countries such as Iraq, but in these other acts of terorism are American planes being flown into American buildings...not to mention two of the most significant buildings in the world and two buildings that are marvels of engineering. Not to mention the thousands of innocent people killed. yes most terrorism does kill innocent people, but the number killed on 9/11 was just way too many. When you think about 9/11 you think not only about the sadness of it but also the coming together of the people. one of the things i most remember from that year was (of all things) the superbowl halftime show. bono from U2 sang his song "where the streets have no name" which really has nothing to do with 9/11, but in the background a huge projection screen listed the name of all 2948 people killed. the list scrolled down for the entire song which is quite a long time. at the end Bono removed his leather jacket and exposed the american flag on the interior. in case this is not enough for you...read this
http://www.september11victims.com/september11Victims/victims_list.htm
just scroll down and after about 4 minutes you will figure out that it scrolls for a very long time. to those of you saying that we should get over 9/11 and that it isnt that memorable then i say you have no heart.
anyways htis song greatly describes it and i love it | 12-10-2005 11:23 Tammie15 | 8 posts

Think about the chance I never had to say, Thank you for giving up your life that day
I hear this and I think about my brother saving me from an apartment fire when I was eight. He was sixteen and saved me, my parents, and a few of my neighbors. Unfortunatley he died doing so. I loved and love my brother, and now it's six years later, I'm living like him, and everything has changed. Nothing is the same.
Think about the heroes saving lives in the dark, climbing higher through the fire time was running out, never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive, but you still came back for me
He came back, he's a hero, and he didn't survive.
RIP
