vocal the chilis are the best band ever!!!!!! i nearly had the privaledge of seeing them in concert 4 weeks ago when they toured around the uk but the tickets were completely sold dry!!!!! that just goes to prove how absolutely amazing they are.... my friends said the were amazing though!!!! cant wait to buy the cd .......

vocal this song is about anthony's depression over his drug addiction, it was originaly ritten as a poem but then they made it in2 a song. he only showed it 2 his producer cuz he dnt want the band 2 see how lonely and depressed he was, but the producer saw how good it could be and adviced themn to release it. good desion mate. awsum song tho theyr is better songs by RHCP. not many.

Although "Give it Away" will still always embody what the Chilis are all about... but there's something really cool about the fact that Anthony wrote and wouldn't shot it to anyone, and then the producer recommended that he show it to the band and they just laid down the music to go with it... one take wonder.

vocal yesterday listening to the radio i heard the story about how anthony wrote this as a poem, made a tape of it with a melody, then later the producer found it in his place. they made it into the song and now it is awesome!!!!!!!! apparently there really is a bridge, just outside of L.A. that anthony used to hang around and get his drugs. hence the name of the song.
