| Song lyrics |
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
[People
It feels so good to be back..]
Scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, reenergize, and rewind
I give sight to the blind, mind sight through the mind
I excercise my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight you take it as I’m gonna whip someone's ass
If you don't understand don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi task
And juggling both, perhaps mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who has held long too few more rap acts
Who has had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mister kiss his ass crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back
Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors
To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all form and stomp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, Push, Shove Much, Fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just...
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors, come on
Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we're responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Teen million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight
So come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors
[Eminem speaking angrily]
And as we proceed, to mosh through this desert storm, in these closing statements,
if they should argue, let us beg to differ, as we set aside our differences,
and assemble our own army, to disarm this weapon of mass destruction
that we call our president, for the present,
and mosh for the future of our next generation,
to speak and be heard, Mr. President, Mr. Senator
[Kid]
Can you guys hear us?

I've posted this in so many other threads with songs like this...I'll precede this by saying that I love Eminem and his music and lyrics are incredible.
That being said, I am SO sick and tired of rappers, musicians, actors and other celebrities shoving their political views down our throats. What makes them so special that we should think the same just because their famous? This shouldn't be on his album, this should be played at a Kerry campaign spot. I'm not saying I'm against Kerry or for Bush, I am just SICK of famous people trying to tell us who to vote for. For that, I give this song the worst possible rating. | 29-10-2004 09:01 El_Mono_Loco |

It's an awesome song, I agree, and on the note of who he supposedly represents, you should all read the last line...
"...and mosh for the future of our next generation,
to speak and be heard, Mr. President, Mr. Senator"
He's addressing both Kerry and Bush.
The main point of this song is to make it clear that he's against Bush and the things that Bush has done to this point, but he's basically just asking for change from whoever becomes the next president, that's the point of the end of the song where it says to vote.

I'm with dragonslayer150. I'm tired of all of these celebrities saying that they're for Kerry. So what? If you're for Kerry, more power to ya. I don't really care. I'm for Ed! BTW, I'm actually for Bush, but this is a good song anyway.

| ok some ppl just ahve no idea what there talking about. Eminem is one of the best rappers around and beings hes white hes got more pull on the vote then any artist out there. Personaly, i dont like either canidates, however, having served in the great nations Military, i think hes right, Kerry should get in the office and fix what Bush has broken. Hes a moron and shows it by trying to make Daddy happy.. Grow up... Now back to the song, one of hes better ones, , and this album is gonna crush the charts! Eminem cleerly wants to help guide this country. That is not a good thing. [i]"Strap him with AK-47, let him go" Thats kind of violent... Ur trying to endorce Kerry, not strapping people to bombs to make fireworks. You would have to be an idiot to follow this thug's advice.
Bush and Kerry along with the whole other village of retards running for president are a bunch of liars. None of them know what they are talking about. But you cannot vote a new president during a war. Red China wants Kerry elected. They think he is weaker.
Overall, If I agreed with his message, Id probably like this song. | 30-10-2004 03:17 I_Chukklez | 24 posts

Im replying to where u said that he is addressing both Kerry and Bush... I think that when he says Mr. President, Mr. Senator... He is saying that the Senator is going to be president.... but thats just the way I look at it. | 30-10-2004 04:21 SeXaY_TaY | 18 posts

This has to be one of Em's Best's Song's. One thing that's great about this song is that it's politically correct no matter what anyone say's. More people are going to see this song that way then the other. Ya can't argue dat...@! | 30-10-2004 13:31 stanclimbfll | 205 posts

Anyone who doesn't like this song needs to be hit with a hammer.
If you have seen the video, it shows parts of another Anti-Bush support group called Chronic Future, there Video is called Time and Time Again.
Eminem is an a great man, he speaks his mind in this video about Bush, because we need to disarm the Weapon of Mass Destruction that our Country has, cuz it aint doin just harm the the other countries, but to ours as well!
Send Bush to IRAQ!!!!

I think the song is really good and the video is really imaginative. About time Eminem started using his songs for something productive, like getting that fuck up out of the white house. |
