The question asked in order
To save her life or take it
The answer no to avoid death
The answer yes to make it
Make it
"Do you believe in God?"
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God?
Written on the bullet
And Cassie pulled the trigger
All heads are bowed in silence
To remember her last sentence
She answered him knowing what would happen
Her last words still hanging in the air
In the air
"Do you believe in God?"
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God?
Written on the bullet
And *Cassie* pulled the trigger
How many will die?
I will die
I, I will say yes
Do you believe in God?
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God?
Written on the bullet
And *Cassie* pulled the trigger
(Do you believe)
Do you believe in God (Do you believe)
Do you believe in God (Do you believe)
Do you believe in God
And I will pull the trigger

vocal "I'm just a Flyleaf fan. But as I understand from many of my Flyleaf friends, Cassie is about the Columbine shooting. A girl, Cassie, was asked if she believed in God. SHe said yes and was shot to death. As a song, Cassie is amazing. Then again, all of Flyleaf's material is amazing."
--> True, but the song isn't just about Cassie. There's a girl named Rachael too. And who ever wrote the lyrics, missed some.

vocal I heard the story about the two girls (there were two of them, right?) before I heard the song, and it's terrible! Then the song almost made me cry. I admire Cassie and Rachel for what they did. They deserve to be honored! And this song isn't good enough for that, at least not the lyrics.

vocal OMG! This is SUCH a wonderful, beautiful, heartwrenching song. I was really moved by the lyrics and I LOVE Lacey's voice! Even though I'm actually Muslim, but nevertheless whatever religion you are you should be proud to stand up if you believe in God. FLYLEAF FOREVER!

lyrics
vocal While the premise of the song like Cassie Bernall's mother's book "She said yes" is comforting the fact is that neither Cassie nor Rachel said yes. In their lives they did but not before they were murdered. Cassie was already mortally wounded when Valeen Schnurr was asked if she believed in God to which she responded. "No. I don't know. Yes" She was shot after the I don't know response. The four library survivors who wever within hearing distance of the exchange all have the exact same recollection. Rachel Scott didn't say yes either. They open fired on her and her friend who were sitting outside on the school lawn. The friend was the only person withing hearing distance of the shooters and Rachel. He survived and has repeatedly stated that the neither shooter spoke to them. There is no excuse for trying to make this senseless tragedy propaganda for Christian martyrdom. None at all.
