When he says "Jeremy spoke in class today" in his awesome Eddie Vedder voice does he mean that Jeremy literally spoke in class and it is worth mentioning because Jeremy never talks in class because he feels like such an outcast or does it mean that he made a statement by committing suicide in front of his class. I know that it is trivial, but I just wanted to put this question out there.......... Great Song!!

You cant say you have heard the songs meaning until you read up on it and see the clip. The clip is what makes this song so amazing for me. even though im a real man and i rule so much it kind of makes my eyes water a tad because i can relate to Jeremy and what he went through and i think many other people can too Eddie to me had made this song real special in particular and i think the blood sweat and tears that he put into his songs will be what will make his legacy happen in future years.

Then I found out the whole story behind it, and it gives me chills. It's that good. But Eddie Vedder does give me the serious jibblies...

I can see why they might have changed the ending, for the shootings and also because though im not suicidal, it definetely brings emotions up. It's very well written and pretty much displays what that boy was feeling. I often thought that the little boy in the video reminded me of eddy vedder himself, eddy is creepy in it, does that thing with his eyes. I wonder what the boy wrapped in the flag meant, maybe that america had failed him or something.
