Are you ready?
(If you ain't got no money, take your broke ass home)
You say
(If you ain't got no money, take your broke ass home)
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S, yeah
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
[bridge:]
We flying first class up in the sky
Pop the champagne
Living the life in the fast lane
I won't change
By the glamorous
Oh, the flossy, flossy
(Are you ready?)
[chorus:] [2x]
The glamorous
The glamorous, glamorous (The glamorous life)
By the glamorous
Oh, the flossy, flossy
Wear them gold and diamonds rings
All them things don't mean a thing
Chaperones and limousines
Shopping for expensive things
I be on the movie screens
Magazines and bougie scenes
I'm not clean, I'm not pristine
I'm no queen, I'm no machine
I still go to taco bell
Drivethrough, raw as hell
I don't care, I'm still real no matter how many records I sell
After the show or after the grammys I like to go cool out with the family
Sippin', reminiscing on days when I had a Mustang
And now I'm in...
[bridge:]
First class up in the sky
Pop the champagne
Living the life in the fast lane
And I won't change
By the glamorous
Oh, the flossy, flossy
[chorus:] [2x]
The glamorous
The glamorous, glamorous (The glamorous life)
By the glamorous
Oh, the flossy, flossy
[Ludacris:]
I'm talking Champagne wishes, caviar dreams
You deserve nothing but all the finer things
Now this whole world has no clue what to do with us
I've got enough money in the bank for the two of us
Plus I gotta keep enough lettuce to support your shoe fetish
Lifestyles so rich and famous
Robin Leach will get jealous
Half a million for the stones
Taking trips from here to Rome
So if you ain't got no money take your broke ass home
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S, yeah
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
[bridge:]
We flying first class up in the sky

And I won't change
By the glamorous, oh
The flossy flossy

I got problems up to here
I got people in my ear
Telling me these crazy things that I don't want to know
(fuck y'all)
I've got money in the bank and I'd really like to thank all the fans
I'd like to thank
Thank you really though
'Cause I remember yesterday when I dreamt about the days
When I'd rock on MTV, that be really dope
Damn, It's been a long road
And the industry is cold
I'm glad my daddy told me so
He let his daugther know
(If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home)
My daddy told me so
(If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home)
He let his daughter know
(If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home)
My daddy told me so
(If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home)
He let his daughter know
no prob alliekat22, all her lyrics are so conceited, am i the only one who notices this?! all she talks about in her songs is about how great she is, and it kinda bothers me. can she not come up with any other lyrics but of herself?! honestly you guys, how can you enjoy this kinda stuff.
momo~ i think actually a lot of artists do that, writing how beautiful/ rich/ popular they are... Maybe this is a commercial tactic: creating a value and image of the artist.
I find it annoying and hilarious at the same time.
Furthermore, I believe that she may not write the song herself, she definitely write the lyrics herself!!! I mean, who else in this universe can write such a retared/funny song? ^.^

vocal I thought it was *flouncy flouncy*, which i can understand. What in the heck does *flossy, flossy* mean? Clean teeth? The song has good rhythm and stuff. The lyrics are poor to average, compared to the crap we call music these days. Anyhow, flossy doesn't seem to make sense to me. For the 12 year old who thinks the lyrics are disgusting, you're 12, most lyrics SHOULD be disgusting to you. When you get older they won't be so gross; how *...take your broke ass home...* is disgusting I don't know, maybe you meant dispicable or rude.

vocal I like this song, always makes me sing along in the car!
Fact: The word is actually flouncy. If you slow down the song on Windows Media Player, to 0.5, you can hear Fergie pronounce the word more clearly. And it clearly sounds like flouncy. The C is very prominent. So maybe the "flossy" does seem absurd because none of you back up your argument properly!
Try it. And then try and convince me that I'm wrong (plus flouncy makes more sense). It takes an Aussie to settle things haha! Go Aussie!
So, definition wise, flossy and flouncy make sense. Who in the heck comes up with these words and definitions I don't know. Anyhow........if it's flossy she just can't pronounce her words very well, but who can these days. Flouncy, on the other hand, is not in proper context; the -y- is not proper at the end of flounce. Therefore, after careful consideration, and much luaghing, I suppose it's flossy. This type of disagreement, though, is precisely why I think all artists should include lyrics with their cds.

vocal I think this song is pretty good...I understand though why somebody would think the lyrics are annoying or whatever, but other than that I think the music is good. Anyway, I don't think she's being conceited in here, she's just talking about how her life has changed by becoming a celebrity. She may be talking about herself, but it's not completely something that anyone, including a 12 year old, should blow up about. Why the heck do people just waste their time coming up here just to criticize? Just suck it up and get over it.
So far every song that Fergie has relesed, I hated in the beggining and then ended up loveing after hearing it like two times. This song is great and it makes me want her whole cd to see what else she has on it.

vocal First off, I think it's good for people to provide both positive feedback as well as negative. People have opinions, and just because maybe it'll cause a few people to get a few ruffled feathers is no reason for them not to voice it. So thank you to all those who post your HONEST opinions on a regular basis.
As for Fergie... There is no denying how catchy her songs are. I am very guilty of car dancing and singing obnoxiously to almost all of her songs.
I suppose it is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I really do like this song... I was doing one of those surveys that was titled "The Soundtrack of Your Life" and this was my opening theme.
Lastly, this song is truly about her life... Saying how even after all the big shows and award ceremonies she still likes to chill with her family, reminiscing on the "good ol' days". Celebrities usually start out "just like us", they're humans too! I don't think she's being shallow in this song.
iceis, I 110% agree with you. To post a comment, its about wut they personally think of the song, even if it is negative. Dont get all p.o.'d cuz someone put in there opinion of the song. You guys are just gonna have to deal wit it

vocal I agree with momo13... the lyrics clearly indicate that this girl is OBSESSED with herself!!!!!
And I agree with switchfoot12... I can't imagine who wouldn't want to jump out of a window after hearing this horribly repetative song...
I think she's sung about one song that doesn't spell out the same word a thousand times. And this song is not the one.
honestly, people, i really dont care what she says or what the lyrics are. i dont go about flouncing or even flossying my way in life because of a song, but music to me is life, and it is an international language, which makes me happy and accompanies me when i feel down, therefore i should say that a song like this makes me move and smile and sing...
what's better??
that's it folks, i said my part! enjoy the dancing
