His best time was with "Les Charlots" ! Gérard Rinaldi died yesterday morning of a long illness. His end took place at Briis-Sous-Forge hospital, at 69 years old. He hadn't sung for years. In 2009, he came back on stage with his old friend Jean Sarrus to perform Charlots' song during "Âge Tendre Et Tête De Bois". Everything started in the 60's, in the band Les Problèmes. Gérard Rinaldi & his friends were Antoine's backing band. Then, Les Charlots started, many hits too. Remember "Paulette, La Reine Des Paupiettes", "Merci Patron" & "Sois Érotique". So many songs filled with Gérard Rinaldi's humour. They released 13 albums, 5 DVDs & 40 7". Gérard Rinaldi continued until 1984. In 1987, he became an actor on television. His most successful role has been in "Marc Et Sophie", when he played a vet married to a doctor, supporting their parents & friends. After that, Gérard was more absent. He played in TV series on France 3 & was the French voice of many American TV series, like "NCIS". He has also been a voice off-screen for documentaries.
