Charlotte Gainsbourg was born on July 21, 1971 in London, UK. Her parents were Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg. During her childhood, she was protected, then she became an artist in 1984 with the shocking song "Lemon Incest", sung with her father. In 1985, she started acting in the successful film "L'Effrontée". However, after Charlotte had finished her studies, she turned to acting. In 1990, she met Yvan Attal during the filming of "Aux Yeux Du Monde" & they had 2 children : Ben, born on June 19, 1997 & Alice-Jane, born on November 9, 2002.
Then Charlotte continued acting, played in theatres & received the César for "Best Second Female Role" in 1999, in the film "La Bûche". In 2001, her boyfriend Yvan Attal directed the film "Ma Femme Est Une Actrice", she got her most beautiful role. In 2003, Charlotte was a model for Gérard Darel & played in her first American film, "21 Grams", with Sean Penn. In 2004, she played in "Ils Se Marièrent Et Eurent Beaucoup D'Enfants", "Lemmings" & "L'Un Reste, L'Autre Part". Charlotte became a great French actress. In 2006, she released her second album 5:55. Then she played in 2 other films, "Hors La Loi" & "Termination Salvation". |
