AboutChino & Nacho are a Venezuelan reggaeton duo, consisting of Jesús Alberto Miranda Perez (Chino) (born November 15, 1984) and Miguel Ignacio Mendoza (Nacho) (born August 22, 1983). They are one of the first Venezuelan reggaeton labels that have gained international play. Although the band does mostly reggaeton, they also do various types of music including alternative, salsa, classic, reggae, and many other types.
Calle Ciega: The first appearance
Before making a duo, Chino and Nacho were both part of a guy band, Calle Ciega. That was where they started their musical career, and released five albums, and had their hit single, Mi Cachorrita. They gained many airplay in Venezuela and surrounding countries. The group fought for having more publicity than other Venezuelan groups like 3 Dueños and others, and Calle Ciega had the most airplay.
The group had musical genres, though most reggaeton, and liked to mix salsa and merengue with reggaeton. The group later stopped releasing singles, and eventually ended up breaking up into what is now Chino & Nacho and Los Cadilacs.
Época de Reyes: The start of the duo
Once Calle Ciega broke up, Chino and Nacho decided to become a duo. Chino & Nacho were signed to Don Omar's label, All Star Records. That's where they gained a lot of publicity, and gained much more popularity than Calle Ciega. Chino & Nacho started releasing songs, and released their first single for their album. Dentro de Mi featured Don Omar, and was a very popular song in various Latin American countries. When the album was finally released, it was available in many Latin American countries, and got on many shelves in stores. Later, the duo has also appeared in Huascar Barrada's Reinvencion
