Christophe Maé was born on October 16, 1975 in Carpentras, France. His father, a jazz musician, incited him to play the drums and the violin at 6. Then, in his teens, he started singing and playing harmonica, inspired by Stevie Wonder. He created his own soul & R&B music, performed in the South of France then went to Paris, where he was performing before Seal & Jonatan Cerrada. Here, he was remarked by Dove Attia who invited him to join the casting for the musical "Le Roi-Soleil".
Playing Louis XIV's brother, Christophe was on stage from December 2005 to mid-2007. Then, the same year, he released his first solo album Mon Paradis with songs written by Zazie and he received a NRJ Music Award for "French Revelation". In March 2008, his son Jules was born & Christophe, who sold 1 million copies of his album, received a Victoire De La Musique for "Artist Revelation".
