 Christophe Maé was born on October 16, 1975 in Carpentras, France. His father, a jazz musician, incited him to play the drums and the violin at 6. Then, in his teens, he started singing and playing harmonica, inspired by Stevie Wonder. He created his own soul & R&B music, performed in the South of France then went to Paris, where he was performing before Seal & Jonatan Cerrada.
