omfg Circa Survive is like the best flipping sweet band ever...... yeah, emo_girl6 Anthony was good in Saosin but a lot better in Circa Survive. Can't wait for the CD!

Possibly some of the best lyrics anthony has ever wrote (with an exception to They Perch On Their Stilts) . "To make them drink tell them that its only water"=awesome. Actually anthony screwed up big time when he left Saosin,why did he have to be so emo? Saosin would have been legendary, like the beatles or the Sex Pistols but for the scene. I went to a Saosin show last nite, its dissapointing that the new guy can hit all those high notes. Theyre not as good as they used to be. Circa survive is mediocre. My ratings... TO explain. I am biased towards vocals as ot me that is the most important thing, the vocalist being the fornt man of the band. Green has an awesome voice and the lyrics have so much meaning. "Both we and our words are overproduced by influence" for example to me says something to do with the fact that media takes over people's ideas way too much. This song in particular has an intruiging rythm, one that I'm not used to hearing in this genre of music, and the instruments aren't really used in that much of a special way. This is one of many GREAT songs of 'Juturna'.The lyrics are phenominal,and the vocals could not get better.I think Circa does something with music no one else does, first off, their guitars work TOGETHER to make ONE awesome sound.It is really difficult to makeout one guitar from another.Second is the guitars have a sound that remains constant through-out the album and the sound matches PERFECTLY with greens voice.A+++ |
