 30 years after his death on March 11, 1978, Claude François continued his posthumous career on CD (a Best Of was released this week), on TV ("Génération Cloclo" on Saturday on TF1) & in bookshops...
61 million albums have been sold & 26 million of them since his death on March 11, 1978. Annual salary cost between 8 & 10 million € !
For this anniversary of "Cloclo"'s death, books are released : "Claude François, Je Soussigné" (by Fabien Lecoeuvre, Albin Michel) & "Dictionnaire Des Chansons De Claude François" (by Olivier Delavault & Guy Floriant, Télémaque Editions). Albums have been released too : a cover album Claude François Autrement Dit (Mercury/Universal), 30 Ans Edition Anniversaire (WEA/Warner) & 12 covers in Cloclo Made In Japan (FGL). On Tuesday (March 11), 41 radios of France Bleu dedicated a special day to Claude François. On Saturday (March 15), on TF1, the special show "Génération Cloclo" will be aired.
