As the runner-up to Fox TV's second American Idol, Clay Aiken got television audiences talking in 2003 with his lovable character and glorious voice. He became a pop star. Aiken auditioned for the talent contest to please an encouraging friend. The NC native won the hearts of the judges and millions of fans across the world. Based on album sales, he has become the most successful second-place finisher in that show's history. Aiken also has the second highest total CD sales out of all the American Idols.
He is known as an Ambassador of Unicef, the organizer of The Bubel Aiken Foundation, a singer and a songwriter. He has many fans under Clay Nation- some called Claymates, some Claynadians, some Clafricans, some called Claydawgs, some Claysians-that are very supportive and defensive of their idol. They even have a dictionary of words for him. Interesting.
Clay is also known for his changing styles. From geek to chic!
His CDs are:
Measure of a Man
Merry Christmas With Love
A Thousand Different Ways
Bridge Over Troubled Water/ This is the Night
The Way/Solitaire
All is Well
His DVD:
A Clay Aiken Christmas |
