The band consists of members Jack Patterson (bass guitar, keyboard), Luke Patterson (drums), Grace Chatto (cello) and Neil Amin-Smith (violin). Neil Amin-Smith left the band in 2016 and was replaced by violinist Milan Neil Amin-Smith.
The band's music is a fusion of electronic dance music (EDM), classical music and pop. Their breakthrough hit came in 2014 with the single "Rather Be" featuring singer Jess Glynne, which topped the UK Singles Chart and won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
