Song lyrics
Home, a silence between glares
That stutters words misleading here
Gimme all you got with one shot
Sent to let me know, oh
Here across the grass, between the glass, I know
You're not the one I left
To wait here helping

I, I left in a sudden rush and never said
Why you couldn't know that I had no goodbyes

Oh, but I wish that you were
(I'm spying on you, Newo)
The way that you would've been if I
Stayed here at home
(I'm giving it up, Newo)
How important I could've been to you

Press the steps I take to cross your door frame and
You decide to answer when my fist swings "Hello"

I, I left in a sudden rush and never said
Why you couldn't know that I had no goodbyes

Oh, but I wish that you were
(I'm spying on you, Newo)
The way that you would've been if I
Stayed here at home
(I'm giving it up, Newo)
How important I could've been to you

We're casting quarters into wells that hold our dreams
You won't believe me if I told you so
Casting quarters into wells that hold our dreams
You won't believe me
I would If you told me so

Oh, but I wish that you were
(I'm spying on you, Newo)
The way that you would've been if I
Stayed here at home
(I'm giving it up, Newo)
How important I could've been to you

I thought Erica cheated on Claudio? Hmmm
No, Newo and Claudio broke up in Favor house atlantic, so I'm pretty sure he's just spying on Newo for the hell of it, but Erica is who cheated on him

Erica is the writer's girlfriend, Newo represents Erica, and Ambellina represents what the writer wishes Erica would have been. thats my basic understanding of it. gosh coheed is confusing!

No one can know for sure what this song really is about. The whole truth is still in Claudio Sanchez's mind. Most of this album is from the perspective of The Writing Writer or simply The Writer. Most believe this to be Claudio...there is another Claudo though, the one we all are familiar with. He is known as The Character. Now, The Writer has just now been introduced in the story in this album as a puppeteer of all the events that unfold in the previous albums. The Writer had a girlfriend named Erica Court and she, in a few words, left him. Now Newo represents Erica to The Writer. She is the fictional Erica. Ambellina is The Writer's view of what he wishes Erica to be. The Writer is God to The Character and those in the storty.

I'm not sure on these next things, but here is my limited understanding of it:
Ten Speed convinces The Writer to kill Newo or Ambellina, I'm not sure which. The Writer tries to convince The Character to do the deed.
This song can represent a few things, no one is sure exactly what.
The Character (Claudio) could be spying on Newo and her new life.
The Writer could be spying on Newo (looking into his story)
Crossing the frame---I believe this is when The Writer decides to cross the frame of real and fiction ("the fiction will meet the real, the answer will question still" from Willing Well I:Fuel for the FEeding End. The Character now enters the story to do some damage.

I have tried to spare most of the details as I am unclear on them...

I don't really know what this song is about
but it kinda get's the feeling at first of a letter.
But when he draws the " When my fist rings hello" it starts another situation. Maybe Ten Speed did convinced the Writer to kill Newo or Ambellina through The Character.
Either way, Stop talking about Apollo writing the story. Apollo is a dog. Newo's Dog. Don't get confused.
