| Craig Morgan was born July 16, 1965, in Kingston Springs, Tenn. He became an emergency medical technician at 18, then joined the Army a few years later. In the midst of his military career, he was taking part in a banquet honoring the military's very first airborne unit and decided to write a song about them.
