Lauper to lead Kentucky Derby's Pegasus Parade

Cyndi Lauper Singer and pop-icon Cyndi Lauper has been chosen to lead the Kentucky Derby Festival's annual Pegasus Parade in Louisville, KY at 5PM on May 3, 2012. The Parade route runs along Broadway from Ninth to Campbell Streets. Ticket prices are $9 (bleachers), $11 (chair seating), and $26 (review stand). The grammy-winner plans to attend several derby events, all while filming for her upcoming WEtv reality show and performing a brief set before the start of the Parade. Lauper's 11th studio album, Memphis Blues (2010), received a Grammy nomination, and the singer plans to release her autobiography through Simon & Schuster in 2012.
