 David Hallyday (real name David Smet) was born on August 14, 1966 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Son of Sylvie Vartan & Johnny Hallyday, he grew up in Normandy & in the United States. He studied music & guitar & in 1979, David was playing drums in his father's concerts. In 1980, after his parents' divorce, David went to California & in 1982, he founded his first band.
