His father still lives in Périgord, but db Clifford dreams of an international career, it's going well. After having been N°1 in many countries like Japan, the singer releases the single "Don't Wanna" for this summer. Discover the video.
The seducing db Clifford, who has an English mother & a French father, is following Mika's steps with his single "Don't Wanna". From Recyclable, the singer's first pop/soul album, released in France soon.
At 27 years old, db Clifford currently lives in Toronto, Canada. Noticed by Babyface, his music sounds like Mika's first album Life In Cartoon Motion or between Stevie Wonder & Jamiroquai. "There are strong, light, naive things. But a little of humour, in the song "Simple Things", to be taken in another sense. On the album, I put romantic songs & other about the world. Not defending, as we understand it, but with this idea to be the most positive, in the song "I Have A Dream". A bit "neo bab" maybe..." the seducing singer said.
A pop, fresh album which first single "Simple Things", before "Don't Wanna", has been N°1 in Japan. "Japan, it was intuitive. Somebody asked for 500 albums on import, it worked, then 6,000. It was aired on radio then became N°1. After there were Amy Winehouse & James Blunt. We should have sold between 20,000 & 25,000 albums. And between 5,000 & 10,000 in Canada. For album produced with $4,000, it was fair".
Also, db Clifford, who played before James Blunt at Nîmes' Festival, will perform on July 19 at Nice's Jazz Festival then on August 29 at Saint-Cloud's Rock En Seine festival. You were warned !
