 Rather silent since the release of her latest album S.O.S. in 2009, rapper Diam's will be back next autumn... With a book ! The black cover of her autobiography hides her details.
What has Diam's become ? Little present on stage, the Cyprus-born rapper took her pen ! For months, she's been writing her autobiography, published by Don Quichotte next autumn. Fans will discover "her childhood, her little years in the suburbs & her star live, taken between pressure & rap" according to the communiqué. "She talks about the noise of her life & described how she found peace in spirituality". Diam's also talks about her Islamic convertion, that disturbed in 2009. The dark cover shows her name & also her real name below : Mélanie Georgiades. On her official site, the singer told her fans that she wanted to "tell the truth [...] correct some things & announce others". "That's why I wanted to write a book [...] not that my life would be the most interesting ever but now, it seems easier to tell things by writing & so, I answer to a lot of questions that people ask me everyday, taking my time instead of going on 5 minutes for an interview... With respect, I confess, with freedom for myself, I needed to write this book !" The book will be filled with confessions & secrets. "S.O.S." singer co-wrote it with Stéphanie Chevrier, Olivier Besancenot's wife. Her autobiography will be published on September 27.
