Diana Jean Krall was born on November 16, 1964 in Nanaimo, Canada. From a family of musicians, she learnt piano at 4. She studied at Berkeley's Music College & became Jimmy Rowles' pupil in Los Angeles. In 1990, she settled in New York & played in a jazz trio. 3 years later, she released her first album Stepping Out & became a great jazz singer. Diana's sweet voice, rhythm, harmony & sensuality charmed the audience. She released many albums, success came with When I Look In Your Eyes in 1999.
Diana received a Grammy for "Best Jazz Singer". In 2001, she released The Look Of Love, selling millions of copies everywhere in the world & awarded in Canada. In 2003, she married Elvis Costello & in December 2006, her sons Dexter & Frank were born. After The Girl In The Other Room, co-written with her husband, Diana performed covers on From This Moment On in 2006, with nice sounds & back to basics for the blond-haired woman. |
