 Diana Jean Krall was born on November 16, 1964 in Nanaimo, Canada. From a family of musicians, she learnt piano at 4. She studied at Berkeley's Music College & became Jimmy Rowles' pupil in Los Angeles. In 1990, she settled in New York & played in a jazz trio. 3 years later, she released her first album Stepping Out & became a great jazz singer.
