AboutSpearheading a revival of bands like Talking Heads, XTC and Dexys Midnight Runners, good-time indie-pop band Dogs Die In Hot Cars are most notable for making danceable, if untrendy, music. Releasing debut single "I Love You Cause I Have To" in 2003, the Glasgow-based band saw a substantial amount of interest from record labels, culminating in their signing to V2 and releasing the Man Bites Man EP in February 2004.
Following another two singles, "Godhopping" and re-release of "I Love You Cause I Have To", Dogs Die In Hot Cars released their debut album "Please Describe Yourself" in July 2004, with both critical acclaim and a top 20 album chart position. The album itself featured straightforward, unpretentious pop songs peppered with frontman Craig MacIntosh's observations of Glasgow city life, most notably on the acerbic "Pastimes & Lifestyles".
