I mean: I can tell you my love for you will still be strong/AFTER THE BOYS OF SUMMER HAS GONE! okey, here I come..a 15 year old gay swede...maybe it's something really american with this and that there's something that I don't understand..but this is my opinion. the song is gay! and I love it!

25 posts	What an unbelievable song! You can't beat listening to this song on a warm summer night, under the stars with a big group of friends and a cold keg of beer! The acoustic version from VH1 Storytellers is even better. It becomes a slow sweet song, as opposed to a fun nostalgic song. Either way this is one of my all-time favs.

I never will forget those nights I wonder if it was a dream I saw someone was confused about this. If anyone's ever broken up, you know that you feel kinda lost and, looking back at it, it seems like one long dream. I thought I knew what love was - What did I know? Those days are gone forever; I should just let 'em go, but I guess everyone goes through a stage when they break up where they re-think whaat they ever thought of love. Of course, after your first love, you look back on your days of naivety and miss them. Great song, probably DH's best behind The End of the Innocence.

115 posts	the 'boys of summer' arent gay dudes or baseball players. if you lived near the beach you would notice that alot of people come and stay by the beach during the summer. these dudes pretend to be in love so they can fuck the local girls, but after august they leave and the girls who thought they were in love are broken hearted. but hes saying that after those guys leave, he'll still be there and he'll love her forever. kinda cheesy when you think about it, but i still like the song.

And then most recently heard the orginal on radio Man this orginal version really really rocks!!! 80s music..Like wow! I always come across with great discoveries regarding 80s music.
