Elisa Tovati (real name Elisa Touati) was born on March 23, 1976 in Paris, France. From 1991 to 1993, she studied acting at Paris' Cours Florent. At 17, she played in TV series like "Navarro", "Nestor Burma" & "Highlander"... She made her film debut in Bigas Luna's "Macho". In 1996, she played in Roger Hanin's film "Soleil" & in 2001, she played in Thomas Gilou's "La Vérité Si Je Mens 2".
In 2002, Elisa started her musical career with her first album Ange Etrange, released on Columbia. In 2006, she released her second album Je Ne Mâche Pas Les Mots on Mercury, including "Débile Menthol". The same year, she was Marc Lavoine's supporting act. On June 14, 2008, Elisa married Sébastien Saussez, Mercury's director. In January 2009, their son Joseph was born. |
