Elton's worst album until Westies. There are only two good songs on here, the rocking "Bitch is Back" and the touching "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me." The rest is filler with ridiculous lyrics and ridiculous meandering melodies, unusual for Elton. Well actually Bernie's ridiculous lyrics are a regular, but with that annoying mock-Italian song is the end of the line as far as any lyrical credibility goes. This just makes me want run away screaming into my room and listen to Tumbleweed Connection or Madman Across The Water. |
