Emmure - Biography

| Emmure is a deathcore band from Connecticut (although their members are from Queens, New York) that formed in 2003. To date they have released one full-length LP and just released their sophomore album, The Respect Issue, on May 19, 2008. They have been compared to The Acacia Strain and From a Second Story Window and have borrowed heavily from both bands, particularly The Acacia Strain. Emmure is associated with the Long Island band, From the Pawn, and the vocalists of both bands have guest appeared on each other's albums.
They have just finished a tour in Europe supporting Misery Signals, August Burns Red and Burn Down Rome. They will be starting their headlining tour with Endwell, On Broken Wings, Ligeia, Recon and others. Jesse Ketive is a former member of the band Warfix, where he played guitar alongside Sean Murphy & Mike Kaabe (formerly) of Endwell. |
