Lyrics

A Olórin i yáresse
Mentaner i Númeherui
Tírien i Rómenóri
Maiaron i Oiosaila
Manan elye etevanne
Nórie i melanelye?

Mithrandir, Mithrandir, A Randir Vithren
ú-reniathach i amar galen
I reniad lín ne mór, nuithannen
In gwidh ristennin, i fae narchannen
I lach Anor ed ardhon gwannen
Caled veleg, ethuiannen.

(vertaling/translation)
Olórin, who once was...
Sent by the Lords of the West
To guard the lands of the East
Wisest of all Maiar
What drove you to leave
That which you loved?

Mithrandir, Mithrandir O Pilgrim Grey
No more will you wonder the green fields of this earth
Your journey has ended in darkness
The bonds cut, the spirits broken
The Flame of Anor has left this World
A great light has gone out.

Moderator's note:

There has been a great dispute as to whether this
track has lyrics or not, as the original and most
popular version is purely instrumental. However,
after a lengthy discussion with the artist herself,
the lyrics in the archive have been preserved as
they were written and added to the track after its
original release.

I love Enya. I really love this song and it's lyrics. Her command over the language is astounding.

I double checked this before deciding to keep the lyrics in the archive. Lothlorien with the lyrics is a very rare track, but it does exist. I have it on my hard drive now

Sorry... But this song is not the same one... She made one song with these lyrics, but it's not on this album, the "Song" called Lothlorien doesn't have any words in it...
