Here I am, 35 male, sitting at home, headphones on, listening to fields of gold by Eva C, searching for the lyrics (I can't understand every word because I'm from Germany) and suddenly tears run down my face. God, the song itself and how it is performed is so great. In my opinion this song makes us THINK, not sad. So I think, there's no need to apologize for being sad, but to be greatful for the ability to reconsider things and actions and get touched to tears in these cold times (not meaning the weather...)

i have loved this song ever since i first heard it on the cancer research advert although evrytime i hear it, it makes me want to cry
it is such a beautiful song
i myself have never heard the sting version but surely it cant be as good as eva cassidy's
i like this song so much i have choosen it a my GCSE piece
i must say though on some shows like: pop idol and x-factor when they sing this song it does not have the same affect dont you think??
