| yeah that song is really great, just like every Evanescence song I've heard (I think I've heard them all, atleast all, of those listed on the lyrics page)
when you say that this is the best album are you talking about Origin (Anywhere is on that album)
or Fallen? |

| i don't really like evanescence in general.. lol i'm trying to be nice here.. i don't like them at all. but i've only heard the one song, so i can't really be talking. whats that song. hmm. the wake me up inside one.

i wouldnt think of the person dissing evanessence as deaf or stupid or whatever..they just have their own oppinions, just because we like amy lee and her awesome music such as anywhere...dosnt mean that everyone has to plus this is a discussion page so people can say whatever they want...anyways, this song means alot to me because i feel like just running away sometimes and getting away from everything even if there is people i want to bring with me. take my hand we're leaving here tonight theres no need to tell anyone, they'd only hold us down so by the mornings light we'll be half way to anywhere where love is more than just your name
..i love these lyrics because amy dosnt say where she is really going but just that she is going anywhere..and she makes it sound like anywhere is a place like paradise...like the city of gold or something...rock on evanessence! keep on the good lyrics..i sing and write songs myself and the last thing i would want on my cd if i was amy was stupid skanky lyrics![offtopic]i know Amy wouldnt be a rock star like many that take their clothes off for money  |

| Ben Moody is credited to have written the song for Origin. It is track #8 on Origin. Many Evboarders believe that it would make a great wedding song. David Hodges sings backup vocals. In an Evboard interview, Moody called this among one of the least favorite songs he had ever written. The story and the Claire Danes/Leonardo DiCaprio movie version of Romeo and Juliet is often regarded to be an inspiration for this song. There is an outtake of David Hodges singing the chorus horridly. If you are lucky enough to own an original copy of Origin, the Anywhere outtake is not after Origin ends, but before Origin begins. The only way to get to the bonus "0" track is to rewind the CD from the 30 second Origin intro that starts the album. |

I had bought the Fallen CD a while back & only really enjoyed a few songs  -- but then my friend said he knew I'd really like them if I heard their other songs (which I had no idea existed). He made me an Evanscence compilation disc & I've recently become a little obsessed with this particular song. I can see why some might think its cheesy, but I love it!  |
