| Song lyrics |
We take sour sips,
From life's lush lips.
And we shake shake shake the hips,
In relationships.
Stomp out this disaster town.
You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, "I know,
You're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding."
And we might have started singing just a little soon.
We're throwing the stones at a glass moon.
Whoa, ah, oh, we're so miserable and stunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, far from the genuinely cunning.
Whoa, ah, oh.
We keep the beat,
With your blistered feet.
We bullet the words at the mockingbirds, singing,
"Slept through the weekend,
And dreaming,
Of sinking with the melody of the cliffs of eternity.
Got postcardsfrom my former selves, saying, "How you been?""
We might've said good byes just a little soon.
(Stomp out this disaster town.)
Woooah.
Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon.
Whoa, ah, oh, we're so miserable and stunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, far from the genuinely cunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, we're so miserable and stunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, far from the genuinely cunning.
It was ice cream headaches and sweet avalanche,
When the pearls in our shells got up to dance.
You call me a bad tipper of the cradle,
But I'm just tired yawns for fawns on hunters lawns.
We're the hasbeens of the husbands.
Sharpening the knives of young wives.
Take two years and call me when you're better.
Take tears of mine and find yourself wetter.
Whoa, ah, oh, we're so miserable and stunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, far from the genuinely cunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, we're so miserable and stunning.
Whoa, ah, oh, far from the genuinely cunning.

I am a huge Fall Out Boy fan but this song is kind of disappointing. It sounds like it could be the 14th of From Under The Cork Tree. A valient attempt by the boys but they need to step it up. | 10-12-2006 16:05 guest | 0 posts

| Oh my. I cannot begin to say what I felt when I first heard this song. Lol. It is simly sexual [in Car-Car's words], and I fell in love with it. I can't wait for their new CD! It's going to be super, super, super wicked. I can't stress that enough.
And for all those people and are freakin' out over their sound changing... well what do you want them to do? First you say, "OMG. Their stuff all sounds the same!" and then when they change, "Ew, s3ll-0utzzzz." C'mon, people. Be reasonable. Bands grow and change as the years go on.
Oh my. Mini-rant. Lol. Forgive me.
In short, this song is a to the mazing. | 30-12-2006 03:33 truefckinglove | 4 posts
| Tee hee. I'm sorry. I should have spell-checked. I meant "simply," not simly. Well not like anybody cares... but just to clear that up. | 03-01-2007 03:02 momo13 | 44 posts

All of Fall Out Boys songs get me wondering whats going on in Pete's head, a whirl wind of emotions mixed with imganation. So what if [i] is changing, its not lyk its unreckonisable(sp?) and they are still as awesome as they ever were, even more so now | 14-01-2007 04:10 Chillaxed | 6 posts

| Well....its definetly different. But i don't think it's bad or anything. It's starting to grow on me. The only thing that bothers me is Pete trying to scream. My god he sucks at it. He tried on the last album and he's still not getting any better at it. | 31-01-2007 21:47 ImAwesumLetsHug | 27 posts
| So, I know I've already posted a reply to this song but I thought I'd do another. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song! I just love how you can tell that Patrick is singing his heart out and he's doing it as hard as he can. He meant business with this song!
CToL definitely gives me an orgasm everytime I hear it! K... maybe not everytime... | 01-02-2007 00:16 piddlesbs | 23 posts
