"So long live the car-crash hearts. Cry on the couch, all the poets come to life. Fix me in 45." The "car-crash hearts" are emo kids. They cry and write lyrics about their horrible lives. "Fix me on 45" speaks to their fame, and that they should be on vinyl. |

1 posts | See, I think it's kinda crazy that no one has commented on the meaning of this song.
It's obvioulsy about their sudden rise to fame over the last year. They've been made the 'poster boys' of the emo scene and they damn well know it. 'long live the car crash hearts' = old school fans [like myself] My favorite line is 'Crowds are won and lost and won again but our hearts beat for the die hards'; meaning they have tons of fans that like a song or two but that's it, and that they have tons of fans who go from loving to hating them in seconds. But even through all of that; they keep making music for their real fans; the 'ones who held us down until everybody came around' I'm a car crash heart, an over-cast kid and I will always love these boys. |

27 posts | So, I had to be one of the bad kids  and peek at the presents under the Christmas tree... I found the album version of Thriller that had been leaked by some "vulture" and listened to it and it was amazing. I got to see them in the FOE tour in Atlanta and this song was amazing live.  The drums got my heart to beating fast. I loved this song live! Pete got all crunk and stuff.
