| Ya....it's just plain SAD. I mean, it'd be great 2 live 2 100, but wouldn't you like to at least have THE CHANCE to live longer?? It's disheartening...anyone else's opinion?  |

| I understand that song thatway that ...a man takes a journey through his life...and so should we....and never look back and never feel sorry for anything we did...or something like that...
and it tells the young that there is still time to do and to try everything and that we should do that..we have our whole lives to feel and to be old

| well i think the song is about wat every1else said, but its also about how living at a young age is the best age to live in, even if it doesnt seem like it then. Because as you get older, you gain more knowledge and you gain more resposibilities. When you're young, however, you're almost free, and you have this whole life ahead of u to do whatever you want as so it seems. when you're young, you have all this potential building up inside you, but once you reach a certain age you lose all that potential when you have more important thing to worry about in your life than dreams. |

the song is good, but why this is one of the only songs i have seen a discussion on where ppl are looking for the meaning of it is beyond me. i really like the song and i do know that the video was shot in californnia after al fo those forest fires in 2002/3. (i can't remember what year it was) |

I think this song means that our life is only a few moments so we had better live with what we got and not complain.
This is the song i am going submit for my grade 12 grad this year! it is amazing.
THis song also means that in time, things change, so we change with them.
We don't necassarilly live for 100 years. we COULD live 100 yeares, or we could live for 100 seconds. it all depends on what the world wants!

i agree with alot of the people above that this song really is about taking your life for granted. like when your 15 (which i am) and all you can dream of is growing up and getting out. the minute you really step into this world you can never go back. you can never be the same person you were before. this song is trying to tell you that you only have so much time to do what you want and to become who you want to be and that you should cherish what time you have to be free. i've been through so much and had to grow up so fast that i can see how wonderful it is to have a house to live in and be taken care of and loved, even if it means your not always happy about not being allowed to leave the house after 11. i just wish that there were some way to make people see this, but that would mean they would have to grow up the same way i did, and i don't wish that on anyone. |
