The singer whose single "Plus Là" surprised in January, currently sings a song from his new album. What's wrong ? It's his song already sung with Indra 3 years ago, but this time in piano/voice version : "Besoin De Vous".
Frédéric Lerner got known in 2000 with his single "Si Tu M'Entends" (N°33), whereas he was Isabelle Camus' boyfriend, the daughter of his ex-producer Jean-Claude Camus... Whereas success didn't come, he released his first album, went on stage & released 2 singles : "On Partira" (N°56 in 2001) & "Cybelia" (N°45 in 2002). His voice sounds like Jean-Jacques Goldman's so he was very criticised.
Late 2003, his second album Être Libre was released but it only became N°114 in French album charts in only 4 weeks. No single had been released.
In January 2005, dance singer Indra joined him for a duet, "Besoin De Vous", an unreleased song to relaunch the man's career, but it didn't get successful (N°47)...
Early 2008, as everybody said that Frédéric Lerner's career was over (he unfortunately released the single "Ca Passe Ou Ca Casse"), the singer surprised them with "Plus Là", a ballad which entered N°3 in French single charts & stayed there during 3 weeks & 9 weeks in the Top 10. Then he performed at Paris' Olympia on February 12.
Today, how strange, the singer sent to radios again the song "Besoin De Vous", already released on single 3 years ago... However, this song is in a new version, piano/voice, from his new album. Let's cross fingers.
Listen to a short clip of "Besoin De Vous" here.
Also, Frédéric Lerner will perform on May 16 at Ploemer's Oceanis.
