Garou reveals the first single from his seventh album, released on September 24. The video for "Le Jour Se Lève" is available. Discover it !

A piano/bar ambiance for Garou, who covered Esther Galil's "Le Jour Se Lève". In his new video, "Seul" singer goes from bar to bar, playing poker & cue ball. It's the first single from his seventh album, in less than 15 years of career. Newly signed to Mercury France/Universal, after having been fired from Columbia/Sony Music, the singer will release a cover album on September 24. According to Le Parisien, the audience will re-discover Gilbert Bécaud's "Quand Tu Danses", Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put A Spell On You", even Joe Dassin's "Marie-Jeanne" & Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" ! A surprising tracklist !

Covers albums have been going on these years. Nolwenn Leroy's Bretonne, Chimène Badi's Gospel & Soul, released last year & also Seal's Soul II (2011). 2 years after the unsuccessful Version Intégrale, Garou will be back with a jazz/R&B project.

The former Quasimodo will perform on November 18 at Paris' Olympia. Before that, TF1 proposed him to be one of the 4 judges in the TV show The Voice, La Plus Belle Voix, aired last spring. The show gave beautiful audience ratings. So, it satisfied Mercury France/Universal, who distributed all "The Voice" compilations & signed Garou.

Garou recorded his new album in London, with Plan B's ("She Said") musicians. "They put in the "variety" category, but I'm not a singer à la Céline Dion ! I'm a musician but intelligentsia didn't recognize me. We'll see if the audience finds me there" the singer said to Le Parisien (May 29), to present his project.
