We really DO live in a MAD WORLD! I mean some people are straving in Africa right now while we americans are dying of obesity! Come on! Now that is truly mad! This song also scares me, because it's the truth. Sometimes we lie to ourselves to make everything seem beautiful and perfect when in fact it is not. We will always need songs like this one to snap us back into reality. And the sad, but true, reality is that our world is utterly MAD. |

A great cover, the Tears for Fears goes to fast, but still they are the ones that made up the lyrics. It fits so good in Donnie Darko. I can imagine how many people can relate to the lyrics. I was humming this song a few weeks ago and I'm wondering if I've ever even heard it before I say Donnie Darko...I hope I have because that is some freaky weird shit.
