935 posts	goo goo dolls were always underground punk band, that was there thing, and they were good at it. then on their albulm 'a boy named goo' rznick wrote a ballad, which many rock bands do, called 'name' the thing is, when this ballad became famous, and brought it a lot of money.. the band decided to change their music in order to go w/ that which would bring them money. the next albulm, 'dizzy up the girl' featured rznick singing only the light, poppy sound that indeed made them more money, and indeed made names in the popular music world. but it also was a sellout to the punk music they had been doing for so many years before.
