Why would it be Freddy Mercury? Mika is using old school Hollywood names in the song if you listen closely...Grace Kelly obviously, Humphrey Bogart, so obviously Freddy in the song is Fred Astaire...duh...love the song |

The Freddy refered to in the song is NOT Fred Astair. If you watch the video, the first time he sings the chorus, with the little girl on the piano, you will notice two things. First, the voice he sings the line in is a smart attempt of FreddyMurcury's voice. Secondly, the arm shooting up to his side while he sings is a trademark pose of Freddy Murcury's. Oh and I don't thinka great and destinguished man such as Fred Astair would tolerate ANYONE referring to him as "freddy" well maybe family and friends but not the "public"

Great song its so catchy!! And sry morgie it hes talking about freddie mercury not fred astaire its sort of obvious. This guy is an amazing singer he could actually be the next Freddie but hes not quit there yet needs a little work but this song is defanetly gonna be HUGE more huge than it is because the point of it is so true  |

wow i really thought he was singing "i could be happy, i could be peppy" instead of "i could be hurtful, i could be purple"
but really, who should understand the lyrics, when he sings with this voice
